Week 21 from Lex's View

Hello Friends! Can you believe that it's the last full week of September? Time is going very fast. I've had several cool "firsts" this week.....enjoy!

My 1st First of the week: I've been going to the nursing home when my mom plays the music, but this week, I had my first official day of visiting residents. I think this means I'm a therapy dog--you know, I'm a dog providing therapy!

Riding the elevator to get upstairs.

Some people petted me while laying in bed.

Other people were sitting in wheelchairs.

Some people were sitting in chairs.

Some people sat on couches.

Having a great personality like mine in tiring!! This was a great room to take a nap in.

I went to Tractor Supply for "Pet Appreciation Day." I love this store--finally a store that realizes the worth of pets! There was dog food on sale, so I waited nicely while mom loaded up the dog food.

Do you think I should get some boots for the upcoming winter months? Ooopps..wrong size!

Toys!

I also went to the nursing home when mom played the music. I wore my new shirt!

Harlow and me! Harlow's dress says, "Mommy's Angel." What does that make me?
Sunday Best!

Close-up shot!

I went to a pot luck dinner and was a wonderful young man to settle while all the humans ate.

2nd First: I went to a grocery store called "Save-A-Lot." I've never been in there before. Unfortunately, it was the same old, same old...food for humans. Oh, there was a tiny dog section, but I blinked and I was already past it!

Harlow and I had lots of fun playing tug! I'm getting big, but Harlow still holds her own.

Ha! I got the toy!

Then, it was time for a game of football. This is our football...I inherited this from Madison who my mom also raised. Madison loved this football.

Early morning + foggy training mornings= my favorite!

I helped mom pick out some baggies for the bones she's making for the upcoming region fundraiser. I tried to convince her to buy the biggest possible bags!

I went to Wegmans

Bread, anyone?

Ohhh...can I interest you in some candy?

Did you know that sometimes there are people on the floor at stores? This person was stocking shelves. This week in Wal-Mart, I also saw people on the floor cleaning under the shelves. Do you think they need my help?

Happy First Day of Autumn!

I went to the park. Slides are weird...after I "loaded up" they made me slide down.

Mom went a little crazy at the playground. She went down this slide 3x. Go figure. I wasn't interested in sliding down it.

I had to help my mom and aunt pick out the perfect mums.

Yay for McDonalds having free coffee! I don't understand why mom said that I didn't need any.

I went to the post office to drop off the mail.

3rd First: I went to a new store this week. It's called "Best Buy." Highly disappointing store...there were ZERO and I mean zero items for dogs. Why such stores exist, I'll never know. Mom did seem excited because she had a coupon....I guess I'll let her off the hook this time!

An empty shelf can mean only one thing. A cool place for me!

DVDs.

I'm the Target!

These are giant red balls. Unfortunately, they didn't want to play with me.

I'm the center of attention!

4th First: I went on the shopper shuttle transit bus. The driver remembered my mom from all the other times she has brought on her GEB dogs. I was a very good boy. It certainly worked the core muscles...I kept sliding on the floor.

When we got off the bus, guess where we landed??! PetSmart!! Woo-Hoo! Yippe! Fantastic! A huge "Yes" for mom for taking me there!

There were adorable birds.

No, I am NOT a hamburger, Mom!

Excellent toy selection!

NOOOOOO, I don't want to be Miss Piggy!

Got treats? Yep, they sure do!

I went to McDonalds and settled nicely when mom waited in line and ordered.

I settled as Mom filled her drink. Then, I was able to practice my real life skills as Mom was carrying her tray and walking me. I'm happy to report that I walked Mom to the table perfectly with all of her food perfectly in place.

I was perfect at McDonalds while my family ate. I was very tired, and I didn't even move.

4th First: When I was going to Wegmans, there was this loud truck...He was loading up the big bins of glass, pop cans, etc. The truck was making a very loud sound, plus the glass all crashed together.

Hey, there's a scale! Bummer-- I guess it's just for fruit and veggies. Speaking of scales, I now weigh just over 63 pounds!

This is Olaf, the singing snowman from Frozen!!

Helping mom look through the birthday cards

I had to settle as mom read a children's book.

This sign said "Carside to Go"....I waited for them to bring out the food to me, but it never came. They really should invent a similar service for dogs!

Hi sister Luna! I was thinking of you as I shopped in Wal-Mart!

I had to help mom buy Harlow's food.

5th First: I did another new event this week. I went to a library for their reading to dog event. I was an excellent listener and was sure to look at each picture the children showed me. All the books were dog themed! Excellent choice!

The kids really liked me!

The next night, my picture was in the paper for being at the reading program. I think I'm officially famous now!!

I love autumn!

I might consider a career as a water artist!

My! What a large pumpkin!

Sammy & me
(Cats...looking away from the camera!)

I photobombed Sammy's picture! Ha!

Mom, what happened to the water? It's color changed?

 My reflection

Lowe's...do you need me to load up your mum for you?

Singing toys!

What are these trees doing inside Lowe's? Mom said they're "Christmas trees." I wonder what that means?
                                                                      Until Next Week,
