Week 8 from Lex's View

Happy Day! It's me again. Can you believe I'm already 16 weeks old? I've been with my mom in my new house for exactly 8 weeks. That's half of my entire life!

       

I walked on the outside of this store where I've never been before. There were lots of people coming and going.

 

Confession.....I ate this whole bag of Iams Puppy Food....but not at one time! The food was all gone (of course, mom bought me more!), but she let me check out this bag. Sometimes empty bags make funny sounds and feel weird. Well, I couldn't just stop thinking about it being empty with no food. So, I laid on it and took a nap, all the while dreaming of my favorite food. Speaking of food....I weigh 35.5 pounds this week!

My favorite part of a photoshoot is the word, "FREE!"



This means that I can stop sitting still. Usually, I go right to mom and get some pay for lending her my handsome face...I will work for doggie cookies!




I hung outside of another grocery store. I got to people watch and see young people walking fast and older people (even one walking with a walker).

Mom pushed this shopping cart around for me to see. I sniffed the wheel, but otherwise, it was quite boring. I think this cart must be in training because it smelled like it's been going many, many places!

 

I went for a walk in this field.

                                     



Nap time is the best part of the day.

I love to sleep on my back.



I went to Lowe's. I worked outside for a few minutes.

Then, I went inside. There are so many things to see and do in there.

Rainy days are best for snuggling with a big sister.

Somehow, all the rain got into this creek. Hmmm...

Playing in the water is always fun.

Mom took me for a walk while it was lightly raining outside. She says it's important for a future guide dog to be comfortable walking in all different kinds of weather. I love water and being cool, so I think rainy walks will be my favorite!

Do you see what I see? A horse taking a nap! (I think I'd get along with her just fine!) 

 

Okay....who left crackers all over the ground? I haven't solved the mystery, but guess what mom made me do? She made me practice walking and even sitting around these crackers because I'm suppose to learn to ignore food on the ground. I got into a groove and did well practicing. I was hoping Mom would let me sample just one cracker, but I couldn't convenience her!

I love practicing my balance on "Angelica's Balance Beam Log." I think I'd make her proud of me!

I said, "Harlow, please look to the camera!" But, she didn't listen to her little brother.

I played dress up in a raincoat, which was fitting for all the rain this week.

Mom and I did a lot with body handling and grooming this week. I've gotten my nails clipped a few times already. Mom says I have very fast growing nails.

It's important to brush my fur.

I got my ears wiped out.

 

This is not a good picture of me, but I wanted to show you me getting petted by a little boy. He really liked me because he kept visiting me. This picture was taken at my trip to the Dollar Tree.

  

Seriously, how long does it take for Mom to pick out a graduation card? Wake me up when you're done, Mom!

My favorite command in the entire world is "GET DRESSED." It's the best ever! No matter what mom presents to me that's in a circular form, I will put my head thru it. I never get tired of this command.

I went down this closed in slide. Yay for me!

This must be what logs are like in the town.....I like playing the balance beam game!

I went to 2 baseball games this week. I was extremely popular with the "away team" at one of the games. I think they were there to pet me, in the disguise of playing a baseball game.

I went for a walk in a small town. There were cars, vans, a school bus, motorcycles, and trucks. I didn't mind the loud sounds or the funny smells from the vehicles.  

 

While on my walk, I got to watch a dump truck make a delivery. It was fun! He had a really strong smell (mom calls it diesel), but that didn't bother me.

This tree must be realllllllly old. I wonder if it could talk if it could tell me about the other dogs who played at its feet.

More balance beam work!

When I went to the pond, I got excited to see it! Did I mention that I love water?

I have an idea of what I might want to be when I grow up. I might want to be a barber. I helped mom brush Harlow and did a very good job.

Afterwards, I decided I might try to grow a beard. I tried out the look with a bit of Harlow's fur on my chin.

It's official.....I lost 2 bottom teeth. Does that mean I'm growing up?
