Week 18 from Lex's View

I started out Labor Day weekend by going on an early morning hike with Harlow and Mom.

We climbed up this huge hill...You can't really tell from the picture, but it was really steep. Boy was that a workout---that is for mom and Harlow. Not me...I'm in excellent shape!!!

Pretty hay bale

I found this stump to climb on during our hike.

My shadow is getting big!
We ended our hike by going to the pond. Nothing like a good cool off!
I think I'd make an excellent Olympic runner.

I had a special visitor on Labor Day! My favorite kitty ever--Ella Mae.
Then, I went to a Labor Day picnic/pool party where I got to sit at mom's feet while everyone ate. I was excellent and didn't even ask for one bite of the picnic food. So, I took a long nap and dreamed of what I'd want if I could have picnic food...hmmm..I'll start off by having a hamburger with a juicy tomato....

I was tired.....

....I'm sorry. I tried to keep my eyes open, but they just wouldn't.
I went to Lowe's. We found these weird flapping doors to go in and out. I didn't have any problem barging right through them.

And then, I came back out.

I'm in the Think and Learn Zone!!

Mom and I practicing settling in this little pretty garden.

STOP?! I didn't even do anything naughty, honest!!

I went to Wal-Mart. I wish I could go for a ride in this pumpkin carriage!

This was a singing dog toy. Cool!

I helped mom order a print in the photo center. I've never done that before. Fortunately, all I had to do was settle, and mom did all the work!

Duck Tape??!

Dog Toys!!! I didn't pay attention to the toys.

Cards

Got Milk?

I was really good when Mom checked out.

Nap time!

I went to school again. I was an excellent student. I hung out with mom, as she taught the class and gave the instructions.

One of the fun things we did was a relay race. I had to read the sign in the hula hoop!

It said to "Sit in the hula hoop." Check!

I also practiced settling while mom talked. I did a very good job and didn't interrupt once.

I went to Lowe's later in the week. I practiced settling.

I got to see this huge truck pull up. I think the truck was working too hard...it was making lots of sounds.

I went inside Lowe's.

Flags...where's the one with a yellow Lab?

I practiced my "get dressed" command and then, wore this backpack around. I LOVE my "get dressed" command, and I didn't mind having the backpack on my back! Mom says it's important for me to practice, so that I'll be used to the guide dog harness one day.

I had a fun playtime, going to the pond again.

Of course, mom had to use the opportunity to snap some pictures.

Harlow and I had a grand time together!!

Soak up each moment of these warm days. I sure am!
