Week 61 from Lex's View

Hello All,
It's getting down to the wire. It's officially July...the month I complete my training with Mom and head off to college. I'm living it up with lots of fun activities and spending time with my family. Read all about my week.

I started off the weekend by going to the nursing home to do pet therapy visits.

Lots of people petted me. Some were in bed.

Others were in chairs.
Others were in wheelchairs.
I made many people very happy, which made me happy!
Although, I was a little sad because it was my last official pet therapy visits before I go to college.

On Sunday, we went to the nursing home while Mom played some music. Harlow and Kinley went with me!

I settled very well!

I'm a very good example to Kinley!
FYI...The tiger lilies are behind me!

I went on a walk in this field.
I sat in a field of daisies!

Mmmmm....they taste so good!

Okay, Mom! I'll pose for a picture!

I enjoy being out in nature.
I went to an "away" baseball game. I'd been there once before when I was little. It was nice to go back when I'm all grown up!
This is the picture from about a year ago!

Watching the game is always fun!

I'm a good car rider!

I went with my uncle to run errands! We went to the bank...where I got a dog bone! Woot!

Then, we went to the Post Office where I had to patiently wait to mail a package.

We went to a grocery store.

Shopping for food!

I practiced settling in the yummy smelling meat aisles.

Kinley and I helped out at the Guiding Eyes Pre-Placement Class. The people in the class loved us and had fun practicing all their new skills with us!
We had fun playing in this mud puddle on our walk!
I'm the reading dog!
I was so very good while all the stories were being read.
There was a toad on the shelf. Turns out he wasn't real.

It was my last time going to the library as the reading dog. This "last thing" is getting sad!
I went to Tractor Supply to get...
...Finally...
Not cat food.
Not puppy food.
Not Harlow food.
Food for me...
LEX!

I went to school this week! Next class will be my last class of High School! :( I'm gonna miss it!
Anyhow, I was very well behaved while I worked with another handler besides Mom.

For a part of class, we switched handlers again. I got to work with this guy!

Lesson of the week...
Duncan and I are both yellow Labs, but look at the difference between the color.
I'm super dark yellow/red, and Duncan is white!

We played a baseball game in class! I made it to home plate! Yay! I'm a star baseball player. Anyone want my autograph?

I practiced my coordinated by walking on these bleachers.

Mom doesn't have a picture of it, but I climbed all the way to the top!

Kinley and I watched soccer camp!

I settled very well while observing all the little soccer players!!

I went to the tennis court to play!

It's SO much fun!

Mom loves this picture of me! I must admit it's a fun picture!
I had fun playing with Kinley with this tennis ball.

Think you can get it from me, little guy?!

Oh boy!! He got it away from me!

All 4 paws off the ground!

I caught a quick breather while Kinley slowly approached!

Run! Run! Run!

I think I could fit at least 2 tennis balls in my mouth, don't ya think?

Tired me!
Baseball game! The dirt is the same color as I am!!

I went swimming and had a blast!

Water coming out of my nose--or mouth?!
No worries, Mom! We got this toy!

Shake it off!
I went to Walmart where these boys asked to pet me. I like getting attention!

I settled in the photo center.

I patiently waited as Mom checked out.

I went to the Dollar Store to get some balloons. I was very patient as all the balloons were blown up!

I went to a baseball game with Kinley and Harlow.
We dogs were VERY popular, especially with 2 little boys. This boy thought I was super cute and wanted to pet and hug me.

A year ago.....

A year later...I'm still enjoying sitting in the tall grass!

Until Next Week,
Lex
