Week 62 from Lex's View

Hello Readers,
It's Week 62! I had a super fun week and even went on a mini vacation! I've been lovin' all these summer activities before heading to college.

I started out the week by celebrating July 4th!!
Kinley, Harlow, and I were in the parade supporting Guiding Eyes!

We gave out bones to the dogs attending the parade. Fortunately, I sampled a few--ya know...to insure proper quality!!

I was such a good boy! I walked SO nicely in the parade! There were the distractions of candy being thrown right in front/by me, as well as all the kids running up to pick up the candy! I ignored it all! Mom was sooo proud of me! After the parade route, I got in the jeep and rested up!

Cousin Ella Mae came to visit! It was good for us to practice ignoring her cat food, water, and kitty litter.

I had more fun with the baby pool with Kinley.

I like to splash the water!

I went on a fun road trip to visit my aunt!

We made a stop to PetSmart!

Smile! This store is the best ever!

I'm on the map!!! Literally!

I sat on the state of NY--that's the state where Guiding Eyes is located.

We arrived to our aunt's. We went on a fun walk and ended up at the....

....Playground!

I love playgrounds! They're great places to practice my balance, being brave on footings, and having a good ol' time!

I was able to practice settling in a different place.

I settled very well!

Harlow, Kinley, and I went on another walk and went to a different park.

Playgrounds are great practice for me to look over drop offs and not get scared. No problem here!

I can sit on this new playground!

Guess what I did??!!
I went down this slide! I was super brave!

WEEEEEEEEEE!

Kinley and I make a good walking team!

Poor Cousin Ella Mae...she got "invaded" by 3 canines!

We went on a lot of fun walks. Walks are a great way to practice loose leash walking and ignoring the many distractions the world around us has...dogs, grass, cars, etc.

I went on a "Mom and Me" walk! I loved it!

I practiced bleacher coordination!

WOOZER! I found chickens! How cool are these?!

I also discovered another playground. This was super cool.

There was this weird "bridge" that I bravely walked across.

I slid down this slide several times!

What a big fish!!
I taught Kinley how to settle in a new place.

First rule--
NAP!

We hung out on the porch! Tea, please!
We took a walk at another park.

We dipped our paws in this cool river!

I love water!
This was written on the walking path. I think it's appropriate since I'm almost at the "finish line" with my training with Mom. College, here I come!
Smile!
It's playtime on the baseball field!

Kinley rounds a base, but Lex quickly approaches to tag him out!

Hey, how did this kid get so fast?!

Even Harlow joined the fun!

We practiced our "stays."

We also practiced our recall command "Come!"

Look at my floppy ears!

Kinley and me!

We're on base!

We practiced our "place" command on the base.

Can you see us? We're each on a base.
Kinley, Harlow (at home), and me!

COME!
Ella Mae was a nice hostess!! Thank you, Ella Mae and auntie!

I took Kinley on an outing...to Field and Stream.

This cool bear welcomed us!

What a "mountain" of animals!

This must be the original Buffalo Bill!

Mom says she's going to miss looking down to both our faces on walks.

This week, I turned 16 months old.

Kinley and I

I helped out at a yard sale that benefited Guiding Eyes. I went a year ago to this same year sale!

I hung out with my friend, Ward!

I also helped Mom keep an eye on Kinley!

I played on this really cool thing called a "trampoline!" It moved underneath me. I was super good and didn't mind it at all!

Mom jumped a bit, and I loved it!

I got some pictures on these hay bales.

I can do a "down" on an unusual surface!

Harlow and I are besties!
I went to a 4-H dog class at a brand new location. There were lots of dogs, and you'll never guess...there were miniature horses. One was a mama, and one was a tiny little mini horse. He was smaller than Kinley! The mama came up to visit me, and we touched noses. I was very polite!

A year later!
(I gained a brother!!)

 Until Next Week,
Lex
