Week 19 from Lex's View

Hello Friends!
It's official.... I'm 6 months old and 59.1 pounds. I think that sounds very grown up! Afterall, that means I'm half way to being a year old! Take a look at what I've been up to this week!

September 6th was my 6 month birthday. I'm very tall now!

I'm officially taller than Harlow (and only 1 pound away from her weight--and she's 7 years old!)

Definitely bigger than the bench.

I got a new shirt and a bag of yummy gormuet cookies from my aunt. I love birthdays!!

My shirt lists one of my best character qualities...Loyal. Yep, that describes me!!

I went on a special outing on my 6 month birthday. Mom and I went to a college football game. We got there early before there were too many people, but then, there were lots of people. They even sat right in front of me. Hello--that totally blocked by view of the game. I should have conveniced mom to let me sit by her on the bleachers!

It was really loud at the game, too. People were cheering and clapping. There was a pep band playing some cool music. Plus, there was a guy talking really loudly--he was announcing the game, telling all the fans what was going on! I did great with all the noise and commotion.

When it started to rain for a little bit, I took cover under the seats. Mom had an umbrella for her...I think they need to invent umbrellas for us dogs, too...hmmmm, maybe that's how I'll become a millionaire! Inventor Lex.

It was super neat under the stadium!

I walked across this bridge to get to the game and as I was leaving.

Hey, the leaves on the ground match the ones on my bandana. Wonder how that happened!

Sunday Best!

Sunday was the season kickoff for the Buffalo Bills football team. When I grow up, I might consider being football player.

I had no problem wearing this jersey!

Harlow and I are cheering on the Bills to have the best season ever!!
Harlow and I went on a nice walk in this field.

Oh, were we suppose to look at the camera?! Didn't get the memo!

We found this really cool spider and his web on our walk. He's pretty cool!

This picture proves that I'm taller than Harlow!

Take time to smell the flowers.

Also, take time to soak in the sunset.

This week, I went to Walmart. Aren't these pretty flowers?

I also went to Lowe's and got to check out these outer buildings.

I also went inside Lowe's. I found a sink on my level!

In the "bathroom"

I've been working on my "Back" command. Mom and I practiced backing up (side by side) in Lowe's. Mom said I did a fantastic job! Yay!

Ummm...so we got the washer, but where's the towels to wash?

In the kitchen at Lowe's....something was different at this kitchen. There were no yummy smells. Bummer.

I went to my first farmer's market. I did a very nice job of soaking in my new surrounds, while also paying attention to mom. There were lots of people walking around. I even saw a little girl my size! I wished I could say hello to her, but I knew I couldn't. So I checked right back in with mom! I got yummy treats for that good choice!!

I walked in this  new to me town. Their sidewalks smelled different than mine! It was good to practice my walking politely skills in a new town. I did well.

Mom and I went to the library. Mom worked on her laptop while I---yep you guessed it---took a nap!

I went to the park. I was there when I was a little guy, but it was nice to go back now that I'm nearly all grown up. (right, mom?!!)

Stairs? No problem!

I'm not watching the geese.
I'm not watching the geese.
I'm not watching the geese.

Okay, I guess a little peak will be fine!!

Harlow--aka my nose warmer.

I went for a walk in my town. I did really well with the traffic, seeing other people walking, a bicyclist and another dog.

I LOVE my "heel" command....that means that I'm supposed to sit right by mom's side. When I do this, I put my head straight up in the air, so I can be sure that mom sees what a good job I did!

Believe me, chopping firewood is hard work. That's why I just let mom do it, while I take a little rest.
                                                                     Until Next Week,
                                                                               Lex
