Hey there!
It's me again. Another week older, another week wiser, another week of fun living & learning! Check it out....

| Mom practiced me wearing my Superman costume for my next training class....it was my homework. It was great fun. After I got all dressed, mom and I practiced obedience and I got lots of yummy treats! |
.jpg) |
| I went on a car ride. Look at the "luggage" I had to travel with on this trip! I will say it made for a comfy pillow. |
.JPG) |
| I went to a big fall festival. There were a TON of people there. Plus, there were many, many dogs. There was all different breeds--big, small, fluffy, short haired dogs. |
.JPG) |
| There were so many people and dogs that we could hardly walk in a straight line. So, for a lot of the time, we practiced watching all the commotion and walked a bit out from the crowds. I did a good job! |
.JPG) |
| I went on a nice walk in the wooded area nearby. I was certain to read the rules |
.JPG) |
| Then, I posed for some pictures. |
.JPG) |
| Mom browsed a few of the vendors' tables. I settled nicely. |
.JPG) |
| If you look in the background, you can see one of the MANY dogs in attendance! |
.JPG) |
| I practiced my loose leash walking at all times! |
.JPG) |
| This water fountain was on my level! |
.JPG) |
| I had fun playing and splashing in the water, too! |
.JPG) |
| NOT me! I didn't catch this mouse. It was the cat's fault! Just joking! I'm cat siting for my aunt....This toy is one of Ella Mae's toy mice. It even makes a squeaking sound!! Since she shared her toys with me, I told Ella Mae that she could play with my tug toys, but she hasn't taken me up on the offer. I don't know why. I could easily win a game of tug with her! |
.jpg) |
| I went to Lowe's this week. When I arrived, there were people in MY parking lot! They were drilling with these loud machines to fix the ground. They were SUPER loud. I did a very nice job with the sound. I even played tug with mom close by to the sound. It's hard to be stressed if you are playing! |
.jpg) |
| I went inside Lowe's, too, and as always, I was a perfect gentleman. |
.jpg) |
| Yep, that's me! I'm the reading dog!! I went to a different library for the very first time to help at their reading program. There were four children in attendance, and Mom said that I did a great job, listening and looking at the pictures. |
.jpg) |
| This little girl really liked me. She is very little and didn't talk much, but she petted me a lot! |
.JPG) |
| This week, I went to my class. I was dressed up as SuperMan!!!! I think I should be called Super Lex! |
.JPG) |
| Settling in class before the "party." |
.JPG) |
| Mom had me do a "stay" while she went to help set up the relay race. |
.JPG) |
| Check out the laughing cat! |
.JPG) |
| Bobbing for treats! I had fun drinking the water, too! |
.JPG) |
| Go placing while the doorbell rang and mom had to go to the door. |
.JPG) |
| Settling while mom painted my name on a pumpkin! |
.JPG) |
| Here I'm saying hi to my newest classmate, Olympia! She's a cute frog! |
.JPG) |
| Then, I settled while the humans ate their snacks! |
.jpg) |
| I went to Walmart. It raining, and I got wet when walking into the store. I really need to get a bigger jacket! |
.jpg) |
| Mom and I browsed the dog aisle and practiced ignoring the wonderful treats and bags of food. Do you have idea how hard that is??! I worked hard and focused on my job. As a reward, I got yummy treats, plus, mom let me have a few breaks to sniff the shelves. Now, I just need to get my own credit card. Hmmm.... |
.jpg) |
| Eggs....where are the hens? |
.jpg) |
| Harlow and I went to the park. Harlow used to go to this park a lot when she was younger, so she showed me all her favorite spots! |
.jpg) |
| I like the color of this slide! |
.jpg) |
| I walked along this river. I had no problem with the height! |
.jpg) |
| I really wanted to go swimming with the Canadian geese. Pleasssseee mom!! |
.jpg) |
| Looking over the edge...no problem for me! |
.jpg) |
| I went on a hike in a different woods. It was very pretty! |
.jpg) |
| Harlow and I were conspiring...we were not going to look at the camera because we never get nearly enough pictures of the backs of our heads! |
.JPG) |
Real Guys Where Pink!
I got all dressed up for breast cancer awareness month! |
.JPG) |
| Okay....this is more embarrasing than wearing pink! Mom dressed me up as a butterfly in a TUTU. Okay...at least it was a blue-ish color, but still.... |
.JPG) |
| Mom claims that she's just tryng to prepare me for wearing my guide dog harness in the future. What do a guide dog harness and a tutu and wings have in common? Mom claims that the wings fall where the harness will fall on my chest area, and the tutu waist band falls where the harness handle will fall on my back. At least, mom had a decent explaination! |
.JPG) |
| I've also been working on my coordination. I practiced walking over this bar. It's just a couple of inches off the ground, but it's great practice for me to actually lift my paws up as I walk over it. Sometimes, we dogs have a tendancy to shuffle and not actually pick up our paws! |
.JPG) |
| Meet my new friend...his name is Patrick Star. He's Sponge Bob's best friend! My Auntie gave him to me. I'm going to take excellent care of him! Thanks, Auntie! |
.JPG) |
| I even got cool shades just like Patrick Star! |
Until Next Week,
Lex
