Week 32 from Lex's View

Hi all,
I've had several "new" things happen this week and went on a real fun trip! Read all about it!

Harlow and I volunteered to ring the bell for the Salvation Army. We did a great job and were extremely popular. Lots of people stopped to greet us!

Do I make a good reindeer??

I went to the nursing home. I wore my best Christmas outfit. Of course, Mom made me wear those antlers, too.

Honestly...Christmas lights on my head??!

I went to Tractor Supply.

Anyone need a jacket?

Harlow and I went on a winter walk. After we got out on our walk, we realized it was icy outside. Harlow and I had no problem...we have nice sturdy pads on our paws. But mom....wow was that another case. She better gets some pads like ours or else a pair of skates!!

Mom and I got packed up for a trip to my aunt's place! Ummm hello why are all these bags are in MY SPACE?!

Watching the view from the road!

I went to PetSmart. At first, I forgot what a wonderful store this was...even the outside of the store smelled great. Mom had to remind me of my manners in the start. But, then, I remembered that I should be paying attention to mom, too.

I spend the night at my aunt's house. I did a great job settling in and was great with my feline cousin Ella Mae. There was even a wood stove...strange thing, though. I could never find the wood. Weird.

Road trip time! This was a super duper special road trip! Remember my big sister Angelica who showed me around when I first come home to live with mom? Well, after 6 months of guide dog college, she's ready to graduate with her new person. Mom was really happy! Anyhow, I got to go along for the trip because I had a special person to meet. Since I'm a pathfinder puppy, I have a special person who I keep updated on my journey as a pup in training. The person really wanted to meet me, so we got it arranged for me to go on this trip! YAY!

Road trip time!! We got up WAY too early to start out our trip. I was a very good boy for the long trip. I would have played the "count how many out of state cars" game, but I didn't have a window seat.

We stopped to stretch our legs.

Destination 1: The Canine Development Center. This is where I lived for the first 8 weeks of my life. It was almost like going home. Looks like it's getting a re-do!

I had to go and check on all the puppies. Just 3 minutes in the room, and I was the official puppy-sitter....almost!

This was a cute little pup!

I'm Lex, and you are? Let's see, I'm guessing puppies with very strange ears?!

It was great to see where Lucky works. He was a great tour guide. I had a blast exploring. It was puppy paradise!

Then, I had a very special playdate...with my brother, Lucky. We had a blast together. It was so much fun to see him again.

Come on Lucky! Can we play some more?!

We had a great time together. It was a special reunion!

Then, Lucky and I hung out in our crates while mom went on the tour of the CDC. She got to see 1 day old puppies. They were as big as my paw (so she told me!).

Then, we made our way to the Training School.

I went to a special lunch. I was the guest of honor! You won't believe what happened...they didn't let me have one bite of the lunch! Talk about bad manners! Okay, mom says that the lunch was just for the humans, but I still was the guest of honor! During the graduation, I spent time in an office. My special person hung out with me for awhile and played with me and gave me treats. I'm game for that! I was a very, very good boy and got rave reviews.

This is my beautiful big sister Angelica during her college graduation. She is all grown up. When I grow up, I want to be just like Angelica.

Before I left to go home, I had a really fun playdate with a super cool girl name Dina. She's a German Shepherd. I played very nice and had a blast. She has really cool toys!

                                                                    Until Next Week,
                                                                            Lex
