Week 7 from Lex's View



I started out the week by going on a road trip with Angelica and Harlow. Mom got us up wayyyy too early. Usually, I like getting up early in the morning, but this was just insane. So, I slept the entire road trip! We got to this place called McDonald's, and there was this nice grassy area where Mom walked us to stretch our legs.  



Then, mom insisted on taking more pictures. It's hard work being a model so early in the morning. Anyhow, this van pulled into the parking lot, and Angelica (my best playmate ever!) got into the van. Mom said that Angelica was going to guide dog college....just when I thought we were on summer break.

 

Always take time to smell the flowers!

Me? Why on earth would you think I picked a flower?

I love chewing this toy. My sister Luna gave it to me and whenever I chew it, I remember my sister. 


 

I went to Lowe's. I love going places because I always get to play!

I explored, played, and people watched at Wal-Mart.

"Take me out to the ballgame!"



Mom had me practicing eating on different surfaces this week. I don't care where I eat...just please give me the food!




Hint: The best way to dream about your favorite things is to gather all the toys around and then, take a nap. It works!



This is one my favorite ways to nap. I had to chuckle because I saw that my brother, Lucky, likes to sleep this way too. It must run in the family.



I like to find unusual places to nap!



I'm waiting for my playdate friend to arrive. I got all the toys ready!

Ivanka and I are both "Yellow Labs." I think she is a "white lab," and I'm a "fox red lab." If I take to a vote, do you think we can get our color classifications changed?

Yippee! I got the toy!!!!

It's always polite to share toys.

Afterwards, I was tired and hot. So, this was how I problem solved...I dumped over the water bowl and laid in the water. I thought that was pretty clever!

 

This week, I went to my puppy class. We started out by going on my first "pack walk" with 2 of my friends. I think I'll like doing that again.

 

I met my new classmate (Ward). I made sure to give him a warm welcome because I know what it feels like to be new somewhere. I think he liked me, and all of a sudden, I feel really big!



I got to play a baseball game at class. I did great at this game! Mom had to answer a question and if it was right, we got a "Hit" and could get on base. At the base, I had to do a skill. It was great fun!

Settling



I got to work with another person for part of the class when mom was teaching the other dogs. As long as the other person has a few treats and lots of pets, I'm good!



At the end of class, I was zonked!



Waiting for mom to leave class. I wait very patiently, but I think I'm a typical guy when it comes to waiting for women. Just wait, pretty soon, she will be asking me to hold her purse!



Mom took me to Lowe's. We played together in the foyer area. 

Mom, please buy me this!!! It matches my bandana!

Oh....maybe it is a little pricey just to have a matching bandana and this gadget. Maybe someday!

Outside Lowe's, I played with mom. I love to roll on my back, have a toy in my mouth, and have mom give me a belly rub! It's the best ever.

I took a walk on this sidewalk. I got a little tired from walking, so I sat in the cool grass and watched all the people walk by. I tried counting how many there were, but I can only count up to 10 so far! I guess I need to practice my numbers. 

                          

I went to Tractor Supply for the first time. I can tell I'm going to love it there!

                                

I checked out the foyer area briefly.

                                   

Then, I got to the good stuff...the dog area! Who knew that there was so much stuff for my canine friends and me?? I will have to see to it that mom takes me there more often.  

Tennis ball heaven!!! Even though I sniffed the balls, I didn't pick up one ball. I figured I have enough at home, but at least I know where to find more.

Treats...did you know there are shelves as far up as I can see full of treats?!

More toys

Then, there's dog food...lots of dog food.

Some of the dog food was 50 pounds. I wonder when I'll weigh that much? It'll probably be before long. I weigh 32.5 pounds this week.

Reading is very important. Do you think if I take this home with me he will read to me whenever I want?

I found this lawn mower.  I would consider buying it if they changed it to "Good Boy," rather than "Bad Boy." I feel that riding on this might tarnish my reputation as a very good boy.

Mom finally got her act together and took a picture of me in the baby pool doing my favorite thing....cooling off by settling in the cool water!

Mom said we could kick off the weekend with a slumber party. I'm in!! And to all a Good Night! :)
