Week 5 from Lex's View

This week, I went to the nursing home for a visit. I got to meet lots of people, and everyone loved me.

I took a nap while my mom played some music for the residents.

I rode in the elevator. I couldn't tell that the ground was moving, but when the doors opened, we were in a different place. Hmmm..wonder how that worked?

Do you think if I settle in the flowers long enough I will become a flower?

Mom says that it looks like I have a pot belly in this picture.

Angelica and me on a mini bench. I think it's more my size than her's. Don't you agree?
Dreaming about food!

Mom took me to outside of a grocery store to practice people watching...okay, I think my mom wanted me to practice check-ins around people. But, it was fun to people watch anyhow!!
I have a confession. I like to roll in mud.

What can I say? It's a fun and cool hobby!

I even have muddy legs.
For some reason, Mom doesn't think this hobby is very fun, and she gave me a shower.

Angelica and I went to the tennis court to play. It was my first time there, and I can tell it's going to be one of my favorite places to go.

Shake this ear....

....that ear....

I can run with all four paws off the ground.

I went to the playground to play. I even went down the slide several times....even if mom doesn't have any pictures to prove it!

Me, Harlow, and Angelica

Mom loves my wrinkly head.

Pleasseeee...no more pictures. My head won't stay up!

Harlow, me, Angelica
Harlow is such a good friend. I think she's going to teach me a lot!

Angelica and I are thinking the same thing....this is the most boring activity of the week!

I finally convinced camera shy Oreo to be in a picture with me. I gave her kiss for being so nice to me!

I think I'm officially taller than Sammy!
The baby pool is still one of my favorite spots to cool off. I love to lay in the pool when there's water in it, but my mom has never caught it on camera...yet!

I went for another walk in the woods. I love that place. It's nice and cool.

Angelica (on stump), me, and Harlow

Angelica and I went to Lowe's. I think it's cool how the ray of sun is shinning on Angelica. I think she lives up to her name and is Angelic.
The flowers were getting watered, so Angelica and I practiced sitting in the water!

Angelica showed me the best way to check out an area.

The cart area is a fun place to play!

I worked on my coordination.

I had a fun game of tug in the parking lot.

This week, I had something special to attend. Mom called it "Walk and Talks." I'm not sure what it was all about, but it was pretty fun. I got to go to this new place and walk around. My mom and this lady did a lot of talking (something tells me it was about ME!). I did a lots of stairs (even this reallllly long and weird feeling set of stairs), watched a little bulldozer machine play in the dirt (I don't know why I had to just watch it...I would have rathered to go and help him in the dirt!), played with a toy, went into this big room with a pool (it was super hot in that room, but I thought the water was pretty neat), and then, mom did body handling with me. Mom says that she was very proud of me, and that made me happy!

While I waited my turn and Mom helped the other dogs, I was in my crate. Mom didn't know if I would sleep in my crate or not. I was very good and didn't make a sound, except when I reallly had to go potty, and I thought I had better tell her.

At the end of of "Walk and Talks," I snuggled on the floor with mom.

I don't know what the whole event was about, but we came home with this blue jacket. I'm not sure what the big deal is, but Angelica says it's definitely something to be excited about.

I've been practicing the command "Get Dressed," and that's very fun because if I stick my head through the loop, I get treats! I'm in for that game!!!

I think I look good in blue. Whatcha think?

Angelica and I went to this parade! We watched it from a distance.

It was fun to people watch and listen to all sounds, but after awhile, it got boring. I took a nap.
Angelica and I held paws.

I went to my first baseball game!

Angelica, me, and Harlow all snuggled up together.
Seriously, I can never take enough naps!

I'm all packed up for my first puppy sit. Mom and Angelica are going away for the weekend....Mother and daughter time I guess. Anyhow, mom told me that I would have a fantastic time on my own adventure. I'm sure I'll have lots to come home and say!

Until Next Week,
Lex
