Week 36 from Lex's View

Hello Friends,
It's me again...The one and only Lex! So far, this 2015 year has been fantastic. Read how I spent my 2nd week of this new year!

As I mentioned in my last post, I went on a home-switch (with another puppy raiser) last week until the first few days of this week. It was a wonderful vacation!! I got to sleep on this super comfy dog bed and chew on bones!

I got to play tug!!

I slept on another dog bed that was very comfortable. I selected another bone to chew while handing out on the bed.

This is my BFF Blue! He and I got along really nicely!

I slept, too!

I went to a restaurant. I was soooo good!

My friend and I enjoyed hanging out together.

Mmmm..this bone tastes soo good! I had a great home-switch. I was described as "a gentle giant!" Also, my report said that I walk with a loose leash just like a gentleman. Mom said she was proud of me!

 

I was happy to see mom after I she picked me up!

My Guiding Eyes backpacks double for a pillow, too!

 

It's sooo good to be back at home on my own bed!

I started growing a beard, but it grew in white!! Weird!!

The weather this week has been very cold! One day, mom and I went for a walk inside Lowe's. I think mom was a little confused and thought Lowe's was a indoor track! It was fun, though, because I got to walk around the store a couple of times! Plus, I got to see employees stocking shelves (sometimes, while sitting on the floor!) and other customers!

I was happy to see Sammy when I got back from my home-switch. I think the cats missed me, too! (even if they didn't exactly say that directly!). Sammy and I enjoyed sunbathing this week. Our coats were starting to look just a tiny bit dull!

I turned the big 10! It's my first age with double digits!

Harlow and I are besties!

Harlow is my big sister, but I'm her little brother....hmmm...what's ironic with that sentence?!!

New Year, New Sport! Cross country skiing is so much fun!

I love being able to walk fast and be outside in the great outdoors!

Mom and I made an impression on the snow! Oh wait...it's our shadows!

I went on a super fun car ride with my aunt and mom.

When we got to our destination, I went on a shuttle bus to practice riding public transportation!

I was SO VERY good on the bus. I settled amazingly! I had to switch seats half way through our ride because someone got  on with a wheelchair and needed more space. I went to a different seat and settled again perfectly. Mom was so proud! And, you may notice that I am wearing booties! It's not good for my paws to get the rock salt and sand in my paws, so I'm wearing booties. I walk so well in them!

When I let mom have the camera, she doesn't get my eyes in the picture, plus it's blurry! I really need to give her a crash course of photography!!

I went to Kohl's. That's a pretty cool store. I looked all around the store, but I didn't find a dog department. Bummer!

I settled in the dressing room.

After Kohl's, I played in the snow a little bit! It was so much fun!

Then, I went to Dick's Sporting Goods.

Maybe someday, I will get a blue North Face coat!! Only problem is that I won't have my Guiding Eyes emblem on it. Hmmm...I'll have to work on it!

I went to PetSmart. I got to check out the toy aisle.

What choices! I was very, very good at PetSmart. There were lots of other dogs in the store--big dogs and little dogs!

I went into Rue 21.

LOOK! I can get a new pair of boots!! Oh...but I don't know if I'd do well in heels!!

While mom tried on a pair of shoes, I took a nap. Honestly, I was trying to stay awake, and my eyes were starting to close. I just couldn't help dropping my head and just catching a little nap!

So tired!

I went to Aldi--I've been to that store before, but this was in a different town. It was cool!

I thought bananas were supposed to be yellow!

I went to Hobby Lobby. Does anyone want to scrapbook?

A whole aisle of flowers?!

Mom wants me to tell you a story about Hobby Lobby...when she went there, she remembered how it was Hobby Lobby that was the store she was at when mom found out that my mama, Halsa, and my daddy, Maestro, were going to have puppies!! That made her sooo excited! I guess it's only fitting that I visited this store when I'm a "grown-up!"
