Week 37 from Lex's View

Hello All,
Another week has gone by, and we're now half way through this month. That's hard to believe. It's been another great week, so read all about it....

First of all, you maybe wondering why on earth a CAT is starting out MY blog post. Well, this is my cousin Ella Mae, and she insisted that she start out my blog for this week. You see, I visited her this week, and I must admit she was a very nice hostess. So, I figured that it wouldn't hurt for her to be the opener for this week's blog! Only thing is that I think the sign has a typo...it should end with "the more I like my DOG!"

Ella Mae and I had a lot of fun together. Even if she doesn't admit it, she really likes me. In fact, I think we're nearly besties! She even shared her toys with me (not that I don't have my own toys at my aunt's house, but kitty toys are cool, too!).
Ella Mae and I settled nicely together!

I had to teach Ella Mae how to properly chew a toy. She says that felines don't exactly chew for fun like us dogs, so she found it entertaining. Hey, maybe I can start a YouTube tutorial called "How to make cats think like dogs!"

I went on several walks in the neighborhood. I did a very nice job, walking nicely. I saw soooo many squirrels that I couldn't even count how many. They were ran across the road super fast (and they didn't even check both ways like Mom and I do...must be their mommy never taught them that rule!). One squirrel ran directly in front of me. I definitely noticed the squirrels, but I did a very good job continuing walking and didn't drag mom after them. Aren't I a nice son?
Here I am walking nicely. I had great fun on my walks!

This school bus was having a sick day because it was at home. Hmmm...even buses get sick.

It was sad when my trip was all over, but Ella Mae says she will invite me back again since I was a good house guest.
I trimmed my snow beard this week. I wanted to go with a more subtle look.

I went cross country skiing several times this week. In this picture, I went with my aunt.
Soaking in the beauty around me!

I went to school this week. It's important for me to settle while mom is busy.

This is my friend Iron and me. We were playing "Monkey in the Middle Obedience" (what humans come up with!).

I also practiced my over command. I did a very nice job.

We did the kibble challenge where the human writes out the dog's name with kibble. My name does NOT start with a M....I was afraid I would have to teach the human how to spell.

Phew...It was just a M for a MR. Mr. Lex....I like it!

Then, we practice recalls. Yep....I have this one down!

After class talking time....boy was I tired!

I went skiing again, and this woods was very pretty with all the snow.

Look at what mom did to me??! She put on my sister Harlow's pink collar. I got a bath this week, and she had temporarily misplaced it. So, this was what I had to wear! Thankfully, my wonderful blue collar has been found!

I went to Lowe's this week for my indoor walk.

What's wrong? These shelves are empty!

This is my favorite sign in the store!!

Look at these cats?! It looks like Oreo, my cat at home!

Help on this aisle...these legs are missing from their table and chairs. A puppy must have chewed them off!! Oh, wait...maybe they are replacements for the chairs and tables that lost their legs when a puppy chewed them off!

The wood aisle is very cool!

This cart is amazing fun!

This was my obstacle course for the day. I walked down the aisle on these carts! What fun!
Look at this sunset!!

Taking a moment to soak in the moment!

I went to Tractor Supply.

Mom and I practiced loose leash walking past all the yummy bags of dog food. I did a wonderful job!

I thought this bird food was a step stool for a minute! Just a moment of confusion!

Anyone need a collar?

Honestly, mom! The cat food aisle???

CORN??

This is a WONDERFUL ball. It's the one my sister, Luna, gave me. It's so much fun!

Even Harlow likes it...

Look at me run! This ball isn't getting away from me!

This ball is amazing. Even though Harlow and I were tugging at it really hard.....it didn't break!

I did something totally new this week...I went to the movies!! I went with my mom and my aunt to see Taken 3. I was such a good, good boy!

I did a wonderful job settling during the movie. It was long, but I slept the entire time!

Mom says she was so proud of me. I didn't even pick up popcorn from the ground when we were walking out.

After the movies, I went to Wegmans.

Humans and their ice cream...

Selfie time

I'm really good at waiting patiently for mom.

Then, we got a movie from the Redbox....something called the Maze Runner. Whenever the humans watch movies, I end up sleeping. I don't mind...I love naps!!!!

Until Next Week,
Lex
