Year in Review: the wags, puppy kisses, and smiles

Hello Readers,
With my birthday yesterday, I've been reminiscing about the highlights of the past year. I've learned a lot of new skills. I've played countless games. I've taken many naps. I've eaten lots of meals. I've gone to many cool and exciting places. Enjoy this photo journal of some of my favorite happenings of the last year. MARCH 2014

March 6th, 2014
This was our first family photo when my siblings and I were only a half a day old.

3 days old
I'm the puppy the 2nd from the left!

Somehow, I was always hungry!

My sister, Luna, and I got along great and played a lot.

We took lots of naps, too!

APRIL 2014

5 weeks old
I got more and more comfortable with weird surfaces.

Luna and I did a lot of playing together!

April 25th
My daddy Maestro and I had our first official picture together!

We puppies enjoyed each other's company! I'm the puppy in the orange collar!

MAY 2014

May 1st
I had my puppy test. I did a great job on my first official test!

May 2nd
I went to my new home with my puppy raiser.
I discovered that naps are just as good at my new home!

I discovered that flower gardens are lots of fun!

My bow tie collar is a favorite! 

                             

I practiced looking handsome (oh wait...that comes naturally!!)

I went on my first outing to Lowe's parking lot. 

I discovered that playtime outside is so much fun!

Whoa! I met this horse named Cricket! 

I learned about walks with my big sisters Angelica and Harlow.

My sister, Angelica, taught me about footings in the real world.

I had my first reunion with my siblings, Luna and Lucky (I'm in the middle!). 

We had a blast playing together!

I attended school with my sister, Angelica. I kinda feel asleep during class! Ooops!

I did my first kibble challenge, spelling out my name. What self control!

I learned about the baby pool!

I went on my first walk in the field.

My sisters and I had a great time out in nature!

Angelica taught me about the pond. 

Memorial Day

I learned there's nothing like having the wind in you're ears! I'm flying!

JUNE 2014

I had my first Walk and Talk and earned my jacket!

Sammy and I became official besties!

I went to my first outdoor concert with Harlow and Angelica. I said goodbye to my sister, Angelica, before she went off to guide dog college. 

I went to my first baseball game. 

I learned how to walk on a fallen tree...my sister, Angelica, showed me how!

Mom and I practiced body handling a lot and I got my nails clipped.

JULY 2014

July 4th Parade
I was in my first parade...even if I had to ride on the bus and couldn't walk with my mom and Harlow (because I was too little!).

I went on my first real shopping trip....I helped mom buy a gallon of milk!

I had more fun playing! Aren't I cute?!

I had my first playdate with a German Shepherd.

I went on my first outing to a store with another Guiding Eyes dog. 

I helped out at my first yardsale for Guiding Eyes. 

I went to an All-Star baseball game. 

I learned how to be very patient for mom's photoshoots!

I learned about hay bales!

I went to JcPenny's for the first time. 

I got my first glimpse at the escalators. Someday, I'll learn to ride these moving stairs!

I went to PetSmart for the first time.

I had my first real playdate with lots of my friends. 

I went to lots of baseball games and slept through most of them!

I went to the nursing home and made lots of friends.

I went to McDonalds for the first time.

I went on my first outing to a different town. Look at this cool guy I met?!

I did my first kibble challenge at school.

AUGUST 2014

I went to a Josh Groban concert!!

I started looking more and more like my father!

I went to the county fair and had a blast.

Mom and I have logged lots of miles together. 

I went to the Buffalo Bills training camp.

The best part of training camp was meeting up with my sister, Luna, for my first outing with my sibling!

I rode on my first bus. 

I helped with my first PR event. 

I went on a wonderful hike with mom and Harlow. Nothing like spending time together!

SEPTEMBER 2014

I kicked off football season in style.

I practiced dressing up.

 I went to my first college football game.

I had my first reunion playdate with my dad, Maestro and many of my half siblings. This picture is of my brother Lucky and me.

I went to my first high school football game.

I went on my first official pet therapy visits at the nursing home. I did a fantastic job!

Harlow and I became better and better friends!

OCTOBER 2014

I went to a blind awareness workshop...yep, that's me on the poster!

I participated in my first reading program at the library. 

I went to my first state park!

I dressed up as Superman for my class!

I went to my mom's first concert of the season.

I introduced myself to the newest member of my class, Iron.

I went to my first school for a presentation about Guiding Eyes. 

I went on an outing with Lucky, Luna, and Krista to get frozen yogurt. 

I went on my first home-switch to a college student. I went to classes with her, even the piano lesson! 

I dressed up in pink for breast cancer awareness. 

NOVEMBER 2014

I wore my first tie!

I went to Lowe's for my 2nd Walk and Talk Evaluation.

Veteran's Day

Mom and I did our first all day Guiding Eyes presentations at a school.

I went on my first outing with my Uncle!

Happy Thanksgiving!

My first snowfall...
I learned about snow!

Harlow and I fell asleep while playing Monopoly!

I helped pick out my very first Christmas tree.

I went to my first Christmas parade.

I visited my first Nativity scene.

DECEMBER 2014

Harlow and I rang the bell for the Salvation Army.

I went on a home-switch to a family who has a little dog. 

I wore my Christmas outfit to the nursing home! 

I had a reunion with my brother Lucky, and went to the training school for the first time. My sister, Angelica, graduated as a guide dog!!!

I starred in my first Christmas play--as a sheep!

I celebrated my first Christmas and got many gifts!

JANUARY 2015

I attended my first New Year's Party!

I went on a home-switch and became friends with a border collie.

I learned about cross country skiing and LOVE it!

Mom taught me about wearing my boots in stores. 

I had my first "boys weekend" with Ward!

I learned that snow + toys = best fun ever!

I officially became a very grown up dog!

I went to my first playdate of the new year! 

I got my picture taken with some of my classmates...hmm..am I the only yellow Lab in the picture?!

I went to my first basketball game.

Ward and I went to watch swim practice.

I learned how great the woodstove is in this cold, winter weather.

FEBRUARY 2015

I decided that I love snow!

I celebrated my first Valentine's Day!

I heart you!

I got my first Valentine's Day card from my brother, Lucky.

I rode in a glass elevator!

I went to Ruby Tuesday's in the mall for the first time. 

I learned how wonderful blankets are the below zero days! 

I celebrated my first Super Bowl!

MARCH 2015

I'm officially turned 1 year old!!

That's my year in review. Somehow, the minutes turn into days, and the days turn into weeks. Weeks turn into months, and months have turned into a year. Cherish each moment and make the most out of every opportunity for doing good, learning, and smiling.
